Re cut evaluation

I decided to re-design the chocolate image to be copyright free because the original image was Toblerone, I did a copyright free search and I don't believe the image was copyright free due to Toblerone. I used Photoshop and 3D layering. I think it's better now, but I'd also like to have had time to add letters to the chocolate to spell out "chocolate" and also add a chocolate texture to it. I prioritised my time to overdub the video to make the video more comical using an electronic video as this fits into the brief requiring a comedic one minute video. The electronic voice was very hard to overdub right because certain words the electronic voice says slower than the actors and so the lip synch didn't quite match. If I had speeded up the overdub it wouldn't sound right.

I used an 3.5m double-headed cable which I plugged into both the headphone socket and the line-in microphone socket.  This let me record audio from www.naturalreaders.com which is a text-to-speech website. This enabled me to paste the script onto the website which then read it out in an electronic voice of my choosing. I chose "Ryan" as the voice because it is the same voice that is used in the "illumanti confirmed" videos - a parody account on youtube. This is the same subject as the theme of my mockumentary.

I overlaid the voice with the voice of the actor and then eventually delete the actor's voice. I had to tweak the speed to try and match the actor's lips but it's still slightly out. I also had to record a buzz track as there was no background sound with the electronic voice, which I recorded with a directional boom microphone in the foyer of the college - this was the best microphone for the job because it's good at picking up crowd sounds rather than focusing on one thing.

Given more time I would boost up the gain of the ambient background track. I am happy with the audio re-dub.
