This week I planned on shooting in the green screen room and making a rough draft of the film to see what works and what doesn't work. Unfortunate circumstances caused the actor that was supposed to be in my final film and the test footage, not to be in college. So I worked on forced perspective instead to try out this technique to see if it worked.
After I filmed the test footage today, I also researched camera settings which will help me with the next shoot I do. I decided to do this due to the camera looking slightly blurry and not having sufficient depth of field. A thing I'm also going to change in the final shoot is to get a lower tripod as the one I tried was too high up. I overcame this temporarily by using what I had available e.g. books and an Ipad.
Below is the storyboard I created this week for the giants scene.
In the screen shots of After Effects below, I tried boosting the giant up to be on the same level as the running actor. This was too difficult because the grass was obstructing some of the shoe. I tried doing this using the Roto Brush tool
